Asparagus

A perennial plant that remains productive in the same place for many years. In the second year it forms fleshy edible roots. Harvest the tender, juicy shoots daily. They are a nutritious food rich in protein, carbohydrates and vitamins. Sow indoors for transplant production in February or outdoors in late March and early April. Sowing depth: 1–1.5 cm.
