Description

An annual plant with an upright, branching stem reaching up to 2 m. Direct sow outdoors as early as possible in spring, in successive batches every 10–15 days until dry, hot weather arrives. Sowing can continue in July and August. Garden orache is rich in minerals and is a good source of iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium and potassium. It has also been traditionally used for some stomach complaints.
