Description
An old variety of Russian origin named after Paul Robeson, the African-American singer and racial-equality activist who lived from 1898–1976.
The 200–350 g beefsteak fruit is chestnut-coloured with dark-green stripes.
The deep, layered flavour is sweet and smoky with delicate acidity, described as reminiscent of plums and figs.
Winner of Best of Show at TomatoFest and a cult classic among collectors of rare varieties.
