Description

Arkansas Traveler is an old pink tomato from the American South, grown from northwestern Arkansas to North Carolina. Its enduring appeal comes from full tomato flavour and dependable performance in hot summers.

The round, rose-pink fruit usually weigh 150–250 g. A balance of sweetness and acidity gives them the character of a classic salad tomato; thick slices also suit sandwiches.

The variety is valued for setting fruit in heat and humid conditions, with relatively good resistance to cracking. It is a useful choice for warm gardens, while even watering remains important.

Vigorous, indeterminate plants with regular leaves reach around 1.8 m and need sturdy support. Expect the first harvest about 75–85 days after transplanting. An open-pollinated, non-hybrid variety.
