Description

‘San Marzano’ is a mid-early, determinate tomato for fresh consumption, cooking and preserving. The elongated fruits have a smooth, intensely red surface, no green shoulder and an average weight of 110–120 g. They are firm, have good flavour, withstand transport and keep very well. The sowing rate is 30–40 g per decare through transplants or 120–150 g for direct sowing. The average yield is 6–7 t per decare. One gram contains approximately 280–300 seeds.
